I bought this fridge October 2017 for a house under renovation. The house was occupied in March 2018. I had to call for technical support twice before the 1 year warranty expired.
Then in August 2019, two other problems: the light on the fridge side was not working and the fridge was not cooling. The warranty had expired and I called a technician. The door hinge was bent, the door was not closing properly and that is why it was not cooling. I have never heard of such an issue: what kind of cheap material is Whirlpool using to save money on the hinges? But the worst is the light: I called Whirlpool to get a quote to replace the light and was told the part costs $300! The fridge cost $1500, so that part alone costs 1/5 of the price of the item. I AM WARNING ALL: don't fall for this money pit . I will replace the fridge rather than pay Whirlpool another cent for its shoddy product. I contacted Whirlpool to ask that at least a warning given to potential buyers but was told they will simply file my complaint. Buyers BEWARE!

Ridiculous, internal LED lights only flash when either door is open, nice strobe effect, but useless to see inside the fridge. Of course, they are built-in so they cannot be replaced. I sell LEDs for a living, so having them in a cool or cold environment SHOULD be ideal, the colder the longer LEDs last, however, Whirlpool obviously decided to install inferior LEDs and then made them part of the unit itself. Laughable, but expensive, since I know have a useless refrigerator.

Purchased this fridge to fit into an existing space - so very happy with its dimensions. Glad it exchanges heat through the front lower vent. Love the ice and water dispenser. Lots of room and storgae inside the fridge. As to be expected from a side by side this dimension, no place for a frozen pizza box inside the freezer section. Have been very happy with this product and recommend it highly. Like the white color being available.

I wanted a door that had the dispenser to make my daughter happy but we have a rather small opening for a refrigerator. This one does the job perfectly! The freezer is a little narrow but that's because we are limited as to overall size for our kitchen.

We needed a fridge to fit a certain area and this was the only one a certain store had, so we purchased it.
Water dispenser area is small and drawers in unit are flimsy and crack easily. Blue lights on water dispenser selection are now not working but the features are so guess what, YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHATS GOING TO COME OUT!!! So I got the owners manual out and under the warranty section it states, lights and bulbs are NOT covered!
This is a piece of junk and has only lasted 16 months! My GE fridge is out in the garage working just fine after 21 years, I may bring that back into the house, I mean atleast I'll know what's coming out of the dispenser!!!

We found this refrigerator and thought it would be great because it was small and would fit perfect in our space. First off, the water pressure is horrible and takes FOREVER to fill up any cups or make ice. We called service under the warranty and the man said it was our water and didn't even check out the machine. We listened and replaced our saddle valve to the water and nothing changed. We never had a problem with our last refrigerator so I'm pretty sure it is the actual unit. In addition, the water component is so short, it doesn't even fit our glasses upright, so the water spills all over. The place where the ice comes out is fairly large (much larger than a standard glass), so when you get ice it spills all over the floor. I find myself opening the door and reaching in to get ice because I'm tired of spilling ice all over the floor. I was happy initially getting a whirlpool thinking I was getting a machine from a company with a good history but these issues are just nonsense and totally unacceptable.

I bought this as an emergency replacement for previous refrigerator and this one proved to be a substantial upgrade. We can't get over how good the water and ice tastes considering that our city water is normally far from good. I did want a larger size but since I have a built-in spot, that was not possible but I've found that this size is adequate, especially since I have a newly acquired upright whirlpool freezer for the overflow. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

The refrigerator side of this unit has what is in my opinion a very bad design flaw. The front outside edge of the refrigerator shelves slope downwards and outwards in a rounded curve, as can been seen in the enlarged picture. This causes items which have moved to the front of the shelf to slide easily out onto the floor on a regular basis when the door opens or I reach for an item towards the back of the shelf. It happens regularly, even when I am careful. Although my unit is only about eight months old, I am considering purchasing a replacement brand with better shelf design as I am tired of cleaning up messes on the floor in front of the fridge.

I have been searching for a long time for this exact size refrigerator to fit my custom kitchen. The dimensions are perfect and it looks great in its gabled location. The fridge runs quiet and cold. I love the ice maker for the crushed and cubed option as well as the cold filtered water. I can't beleive I've been without this fantastic refrigerator for so long. Finally no more bags of ice or trays taking up valuable freezer space. Walking up to the ice dispenser and making that perfect drink is a real luxury. I am impressed with the layout inside the food chamber and the double wide door shelves. I can finally find what I'm looking for. Thanks Whirlpool !

We've had this for a couple of months and are very pleased with it. We have a vacation condo with a 33 1/2" opening and wanted a side by side with through door ice and water and had just about given up until we saw an ad on line from Lowes. The price was great and it fits, close but fits. Thank you Whirlpool for packing so much in such a small space.

Overall, this refrigerator is great for the price. The only drawback is the freezer is small and has a lot of space that doesn't get used due to the small slots on the doors. The water filter did have to be replaced after 4 months instead of the 6 months we were told when we bought it. I was also disappointed that the hinges on the top of the fridge doors are open and do not come with any covers. Most fridge's do have a simple cover. Overall, it is a good buy.

I got this about a little over a month ago and I couldn't be happier! It's very spacious. I can put a gallon of milk and two two- litersof pop in the fridge door in the door shelf. The crispers keep my veggies and fruits at the perfect temp. The meat keeper is great as well! The freezer is a little small, but I didn't need a big freezer I have a small freezer downstairs for overflow and stocking up. The water comes out nice and cold and the crushed ice is the best! Love love love my fridge!!!

I have had the Whirlpool refrigerator for about 6 months now and have had no problems at all. If I had to mention one problem, it would be that the water filter already needs to be replaced. With the price being about $50 each, every six months means $100 a year. I assume though, that it is necessary

I'm so happy with my whirlpool side by side fridge. It offers plenty of storage, sliding drawers with humidity control, and a water/ice dispenser on the door. The freezer space is large enough for frozen foods with a large bin on the bottom.
