For both my refrigerator and freezer have gone out I believe they're LED and according to my instruction book it says they can't be replaced so am I just supposed to live with a refrigerator where you can't see inside of it?

I bought this refrigerator five years ago. When I got it home, it appeared the top shelf was very low. I could tell that there was space for another shelf, there. Apparently, it was left off. I had to order another one, which cost over $100.00. Then, as time went by, I noticed cracks were appearing in the edges of the drawers where they slide in. Then I started to notice more cracks in the shelving, including one in the door. These eventually caved in. I had to throw one drawer away because it was unusable, and now the last drawer is sitting in there sideways, due to the sliding hinges having completely disintegrated.

I had an older version of this fridge that was great - until it broke. I bought this one thinking it would also be great but they changed the design of the ice maker so it overflows the edges and the front has a swing door that allows the ice to fall out of the front of the bin, if you allow it to fill up enough to trigger the "off lever", you will have ice cubes falling out all over the freezer/out the door when you open. I also don't like the fact that you have to push the buttons for water/then ice instead of just moving your cup to the other paddle - it means you need 2 hands free every time you want a glass of ice water. The tilt of the ice dispenser doesn't really help the cubes fall in the glass - no matter how I tilt a glass some ice flies out onto the floor. I will never by a whirlpool again - they are not keeping up with design features - oh and $50.00 for a water filter! I have a frigidaire in another home and it's filter is 1/2 that much and the ice/water controls are seamless/functional

We bout this fridge 5 years ago and have been very pleased. Would have given a 5 star but I have already had to replace the interior light mechanism couple of years ago.

Three LED Lights two in refrigerator are dimmed and the freezer light doesn™™t work. I replaced one light and it did not change. I also replaced the switch on the refrigerator and I have same results

It™™s only 4 years old and I have had to replace the lights inside twice and it looks like it needs it again. The lights on the dispenser display don™™t work half the time. The ice maker either over fills or turns itself off and we run out of ice.

We have enjoyed this fridge for 5 years, but now the inside LED lights are failing. Freezer compartment light is out and some of the LEDs in the other side are out. Which would be okay if I could replace them, but NOT. Please let me know what I am supposed to do.

Interior lights not working. They™™ve been just flashing for quite some time. The interior shelves have cracks and can™™t withstand much weight. The stainless steel exterior has some rust spots.

The price of your water filter is just to high and it only lasts 6mo. If you would lower the price for the filter to about 30.00 dollars people would buy them more often. 60.00 dollars is just to much.

Ice maker hangs up and is very loud; overflow falls into a VERY shallow well where it melts onto the floor. I don't know if that's the nature of ice makers or there is a solution.
Difficult to open the door wide enough to remove drawers.
Inside LED lights are flashing in a staccato on/off fashion and very distracting. Changed bulbs but that didn't help.

My wife and I have now had our Whirlpool Refrigerator for around five years. It replaced a Whirlpool that was handed down to us by our parents that finally died after near FIFTY YEARS of use. We had so few problems with the old one we decided to stay with Whirlpool. It has not given us any problems at this point. It does not like aftermarket filters though. Thought saving money was more important than using name brand filter and in time found it to be a problem with the operation of the water system in the refrigerator. I went back to the Whirlpool Filter and the problem was solved. It is smaller than the old one and that took time to get used to but with just the two of us it is working out just fine. Now we must check dates and rotate food to maintain space for all of our needs, but there is only two of us and the more space you have the more junk you buy. That was a brief and not very big problem. A little more space where the water and ice dispense would be nice but it isn't that bad. We are very happy with our Whirlpool at this point.

I™™ve had this refrigerator for 5 years and have it serviced twice. The filter door broke and we were unable to remove the filter. Also the bin doors don™™t slide easily. It makes it very hard to open and close them.

Purchased our Whirlpool suite roughly 2-3 years ago, replacing outdated but perfectly good working appliances. HUGE MISTAKE!! We chose Whirlpool solely because they made the appliances we were replacing! That saying...."they sure don't make things like they used too", nothing more true in our experience. All 4 of our new appliances worked great until 1.5 years after purchase, JUUUUUST after warranties expire! Shocker right?!? Currently 3 of the 4 appliances have issues/problems, each of which will get their own review posted!!! It's important to note that these appliances are NOT abused, at all, seeing as it's just my wife and I living in our home. Now for this review, 2 problems.....1) By FAR the worst and most inconvenient is that NONE of the lighting works in the freezer and only half of them work in the refrigerator. Need something in the back of the freezer? Better bring a flashlight to read those expiration dates!! 2) The ice dispenser on the door spits ice out on the floor after nearly every time used AND sometimes sporadically because it knows you've been in the recliner too long, kinda like how the Apple watch treats you! So frustrating! I mean we have water dams that can hold back insurmountable amounts of pressure and weight but Whirlpool can't hold a ice cube back! Pathetic! For the cost, I expect better and yes, I've learned my lesson with this appliance suit purchase! The only reason this side-by-side didn't get a one star is because the basics (cooling & freezing) work fine, as they should!! "Would you recommend this product to a friend?", LOLOL!!! Get outta here with that question!!! I hope this and my other suite reviews help others prior to making a purchase. Gotta go, got a ice cube that just hit the floor. Bye!

Worked great for 2 years. The LED lights have been going out over the past few weeks and we are down to one little light in the fridge. the freezer lights are out. We replaced the ice maker a few months ago and the new one isn™™t working already. Would expect better from he brand especially for the price.

Fridge isn™™t bad at all but it™™s 18 months old and something is going on with the lights. I know it™™s not the bulb cause it™™s both the fridge and freezer lights and they strobe really bad when the doors open. Not sure how to fix it. Also the drawers have not been very durable for us. They all have broken pieces just from normal use. It does still cool and freeze good though. Ice maker is a little stubborn at times.

I bought this refrigerator 2 years ago. In less than one year the fruit/ vegetable draw cracked and broke. This is the area that is placed in the sliding track. I was able to get a new one under warranty. Within a year the replacement draw has now cracked in the same area. This product is no longer under warranty and customer service says they did research on files and have had no problems with the draws. I read another review that has had the same problem. I would not recommends this refrigerator.

I purchased this refrigerator two years ago. The LED lights in the freezer stopped working completely and the LED lights in the refrigerator are only half lit. I called Whirlpool and they said the LED lights are only under warranty for a year. You cannot replace the bulbs yourself. You need to call a whirlpool service technician to come out. Terrible customer service. I will not be purchase Whirlpool anymore.

I bought this several weeks ago to replace a failed fridge. I haven't yet hooked up the ice maker because of it's location. This is the third of three side-by-sides in the household.
We seem to do better with sbs's rather than french styles. We have 2 Whirlpools and an LG.
What I like about this one is the large capacity ice maker. Our LG has larger capacity storage, but it's ice making capability often leaves us short on ice. I like the LED lights. The are bright and don't generate much heat.

I continue to be disappointed with this fridge. I™™ve had a tech out twice out for a clicking/popping noise that seems to only happen in the middle of the night. It sounds like when you™™re clicking a candle lighter. The tech was never able to figure out what the issue was since it never made the sound when he was here, so I™™m still dealing with the constant clicking/popping sound in the middle of the night on a weekly basis. It™™s so loud that it wakes me up in the middle of the night. I would really like for this to be resolved ASAP. I have taken videos of the fridge making this sound. The tech said, ™I think it might be something you might just have to deal with.™ If this is the case, that is HORRIBLE customer service. I shouldn™™t be dealing with a lack a sleep due to a faulty product.

Just after the 1 year warranty expires the ice and water dispenser goes out. Shortly after that the LED lights inside fridge and freezer are now flickering.
Don™™t waste your time trying to call customer care. I tryed 3 separate times spread over a month at different times of day to ge a on hold of someone. Each time I waiting on hold suffering through their horrible music for over an hour only to get disconnected.
Whirlpool seems to be following Seers model of incompetent management and distain for their customers. I™™m sure they will suffer a similar fate.

After we got it set up I was disappointed with how it worked, but after having it a year it is much worse. The ice and water dispensers are badly designed, the lights inside are already broken, and the refrigerator temp won't go below 45 degrees. I feel like I got conned out of $1100.

I bought this refrigerator in June and immediately I notice that it was not getting cold enough on the right side. I called Whirlpool and a tech came out and told me that my air condition needed to be turned down lower in order for my refrigerator to cool properly. I am still experiencing temp issues and planning to call them out again.
