Poor quality drawers.
Bad draw

I bought this refrigerator 2 years ago. In less than one year the fruit/ vegetable draw cracked and broke. This is the area that is placed in the sliding track. I was able to get a new one under warranty. Within a year the replacement draw has now cracked in the same area. This product is no longer under warranty and customer service says they did research on files and have had no problems with the draws. I read another review that has had the same problem. I would not recommends this refrigerator.

I purchased this refrigerator two years ago. The LED lights in the freezer stopped working completely and the LED lights in the refrigerator are only half lit. I called Whirlpool and they said the LED lights are only under warranty for a year. You cannot replace the bulbs yourself. You need to call a whirlpool service technician to come out. Terrible customer service. I will not be purchase Whirlpool anymore.

I bought this several weeks ago to replace a failed fridge. I haven't yet hooked up the ice maker because of it's location. This is the third of three side-by-sides in the household.
We seem to do better with sbs's rather than french styles. We have 2 Whirlpools and an LG.
What I like about this one is the large capacity ice maker. Our LG has larger capacity storage, but it's ice making capability often leaves us short on ice. I like the LED lights. The are bright and don't generate much heat.

I continue to be disappointed with this fridge. I've had a tech out twice out for a clicking/popping noise that seems to only happen in the middle of the night. It sounds like when you're clicking a candle lighter. The tech was never able to figure out what the issue was since it never made the sound when he was here, so I'm still dealing with the constant clicking/popping sound in the middle of the night on a weekly basis. It's so loud that it wakes me up in the middle of the night. I would really like for this to be resolved ASAP. I have taken videos of the fridge making this sound. The tech said, "I think it might be something you might just have to deal with." If this is the case, that is HORRIBLE customer service. I shouldn't be dealing with a lack a sleep due to a faulty product.

We needed a 33" wide refrigerator for existing opening. This model was a good price and matched our other appliances. A few things we aren't big on, is how the ice shoots out of the dispenser onto the floor. The stainless steel front is wavy like a funhouse mirror.

I bought this about a month ago and is huge improvement from our old one. Wish I sprung for the smudge resistant though having 2 toddlers...it's spacious and held up so far. The freezer seems smaller but I actually prefer it so food doesn't get forgotten about!

I bought this refrigerator in June and immediately I notice that it was not getting cold enough on the right side. I called Whirlpool and a tech came out and told me that my air condition needed to be turned down lower in order for my refrigerator to cool properly. I am still experiencing temp issues and planning to call them out again.

The freezer keeps things frozen (including ice cream), but the shelves are so narrow that it is hard to organize the shelves and see where things are. The door doesn't open all the way which makes finding something even more difficult. Refrig is fine.

The first week I bought this I had cracked draws, luckily whirlpool replaced them but 1 year later and I found another crack and since my warranty literally just expired they won't replace it even though it's their piece of junk product. Also, other things I don't really like about this is the indicator for the water filter seems off. It always changes to red around 4 1/2 5 months instead of 6 months as if they want you to put filters early even though they say it should last around 6 months. Another thing, any water that gets on the face of the fridge makes this thing look absolutely disgusting and dirty, I'm constantly wiping and cleaning it. But I guess you get what you pay for. And last again the shelves and draws are a cheap piece of junk. I don't' feel confident placing heavy stuff on them or opening the draws without breaking them.

It was challenging finding a refrigerator that was not too high, and this refrigerator fit perfectly in my kitchen. Love the ice and water features in the door. Not only does it have LED lighting in the refrigerator part, it also has lighting in the freezer. Very easy to find food items.

Had this a couple months and still getting used to it's little noises. The freezer portion is too small for my needs, but I was used to a larger frig at my previous house. The water and ice control buttons are not lit so finding it in the middle of the night is not convenient even though the pictures of the ice & water are lit. When dispensing the water, there are frequent spills down the front of the frig due to the small alcove for the dispenser and the positioning of the dispenser outlet.

Average fridge overall. Shelves and drawers do not seem very sturdy. Fan started making noises early on. Ours came missing a shelf and a cover for water dispenser.

I bought this about six months ago and so far have enjoyed it immensely. It was really the only option since there was no other refrigerator that was the right size for the space it had to occupy. The only thing I would complain about is that it did not come with enough shelving. It only has one shelf over the drawers, though there are grooves to add and/or adjust shelves as needed. The space at the top over the one shelf is "ten feet tall, way too high for the tallest cartons or bottles, and I found myself stacking stuff on top of other stuff, and of course it would avalanche off! I was forced to purchase another shelf from the company (very pricy at nearly $100.00). I only wish that it already come with an extra shelf when I purchased it.

When we moved I knew I wanted a fridge with the water and ice dispenser. This was one of the less expensive ones to have this feature. And I couldn't be happier with what we picked. It works great. I bought 4 years ago. After 1 year control board had to be replaced for LED lights stopped working. 3 year later they stopped working again & they are supposed to last forever & need to be replaced by a professional. Now it is not covered even though this was just fixed 3 years ago. The cost is anywhere between $200-$300+ depending on labor. Not worth it if I have to replace this every 3 years. I only paid $1200 for fridge. I am sad that I took my bonus check to purchase this appliance. I want my old fridge with an appliance bulb that lasted forever back.

This is not for a large family, more than 2 and it would never be good enough. The defrost cycle "POPS" loudly as well as the automatic ice maker. The water spout on the water in the door feature is set out to far and will miss your glass unless you push the lever with your hand and hold your glass outward. We will be replacing this unit soon. All new appliances in a new home we purchased so dealing for now.

This fridge was new in a house we just purchased. The water dispenser only dribbles out water and after making about 2 cubes of ice, the water line into the ice maker freezes up. I'm assuming the water inlet valve is already busted.

This came with my upgraded package for the house we had built.. it is definitely not one I would have picked out if given a choice. Freezer side is very small and the drawers in the refrigerator side open and close so hard that one of them already cracked when we were attempting to shut the drawer. Only 1 of the 3 drawer open and close with ease. Can't wait to get a new fridge already, wishing I kept my old one.

I bought this a couple of months ago when we remodeled our kitchen. We chose this one specifically because it had an ice maker/water dispenser, for the side by side because I don't like bottom drawer freezers, and it fit great in a small kitchen. It really is a nice fridge for the price. We are very happy with this choice. The ice maker even has the option for crushed ice which was an unplanned bonus.

Like I said, we are very happy and satisfied with the operation and looks of our new Whirlpool Refrigerator although we have only been using it a few weeks. It was engineered well and suits our needs just as well. I may be wrong but I like it in a major way because its one of the few, if not the only unit, I could find that was built in the USA. The appearance is very nice and the settings are easy to use and the ice distribution is quite.
