Great dishwasher - but with a design flaw

We have had this dishwasher for a little over 1 year. During that period we have had to replace the hose assembly twice, due to the nylon teeth wearing out and no longer properly connecting to the faucet. Replacement nylon teeth are not available, requiring the replacement of the entire hose assembly ($90) and about 1 hour labor by a technician (Part No 2 on the schematic). Whirlpool should either provide replacement teeth or build the dishwasher with brass/ stainless steel teeth. Replacement teeth probably cost around $0.10 each and can be easily replaced by the owner.

This dishwasher works great. The only downside to this dishwasher is it doesn't dry the dishes very well at all!

Cleans the dishes spotless. Just a bit disappointed on the drying. I used the additive that is supposed to help with drying but there is still dampness.

We needed a portable dishwasher to replace an older model. There aren't many to choose from any more. Fortunately, our local appliance dealer had this Portable Dishwasher with Soil Sensor on their floor. The price was right. After having used it for a month, I've realized that it not only works as advertised it goes above and beyond my expectations.

This model replaced another than I had for 10 years. The updated features I really like are there is more room in the tub...I can actually wash larger loads than my previous model. The filter system is much better also. I also like that the washer arm for the top rack is below the rack and not part of the rack...allows for more dishes to be cleaned in a load. The one feature I wish it had (hence 4 out of 5 stars) is the lack of a timer. My previous model, while outdated with a dial, at least allowed me to see where in the cycle the machine was. With this model, unless I choose the 1 hour wash or look at a clock and note the time (which I often do not), I do not know exactly when the cycle will finish.

I have had this in operation for 3 weeks and it sometimes won't start unless it finishes the drying cycle I always unplug it during to allow the dishes to air dry overnight and save that fan and heating element from using electricity.

I just love my Whirlpool dishwasher. It's a portable because we didn't have enough room for a built in one.It cleans extremely well. Silverware and all. It's quiet. It is easy to attach to my faucet. and very well priced.

While this makes our 4th Dishwasher in our marriage, it's our 3rd Whirlpool. Over the years we have seen many thing change in the dishwashers but, this one has some of the nicest changes yet. To start they have redesigned the screen so that it's easy to clean out the extra bits of food that are washed off your plates. The next and nicest design is that it's about 40% quieter than the previous versions. The first day we hooked it up we actually had to check it twice because it was so quiet we thought it wasn't working correctly.Lastly, it claims to have a soil sensor! And while I have always been skeptical of those catch phrases I truly believe that this actually works, and works well. My wife has made mention now on multiple occasions that after washing pans that she has made meatloaf or enchiladas in that they cam out clean the very first time without having to presoak.

So, set up and use on this model is relatively painless. I was able to change out the adapter on my faucet so it can attach to the dishwasher. The dishes I washed were clean when the cycle was completed.My chief complaint about this dishwasher is that the dishes don't get dry at the end of the cycle. I can live with that, as I have an ample supply of paper towels I can use to dry them manually. Even so, it's the first dishwasher I've encountered that didn't actually dry the dishes.

I bought this dishwasher about a month ago, and love it . Cleans so much better than my other one and is so quiet that you don't hear it running most of the cycle. Looks nice and definitely does what it is supposed to do. The only problem that I've had with it, is that it took me several weeks to find a portable dishwasher however. I'm thrilled with it.

I like that you can do water bottles in top rack and larger items in lower rack. Very quiet and easy to move.I have had this for 6 months and love it. I find the hose to be just right for length. Would definetley buy it again.

I love this dishwasher, it does a terrific job. My dishes come clean, top and bottom racks set up very well, to hold lots of different size cups, bowls, or plates. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is that it is cumbersome to move. The wheels glide very smoothly, there is just no real place to put your hands, to move it.
