Wish I had picked another brand

Just like KingofOmaha, I've had issues with the unit. Replaced pump in October after just 2 years of ownership, and the unit is only used every 7-10 days, so not used heavily. Leak from bottom of door has warped the wood floor in the dining room and ruined some panels in the suspended ceiling in the basement. Only good thing about it is that it is quiet and cleans very well.

One Thing After Another

Just 2 years old now. Had 2 pumps replaced, leaked all over the floor several times through the door. The whiz bang silverware holder that attaches to front falls off unless you tie it down. The top tray collapsed and therefor could not use. Quiet machine.Now it is broke again whereas it does not pump water enough to break the soap pod open and dries the food on the dishes as it does not clean as there is no water. Each time this machine goes down for 2 weeks waiting for a repairman, then wait for parts. This is very unlike Whirlpool products.

I am disappointed in what I believe to be a lack of proper venting to take away the steam used in drying. After drying is complete, there is moisture covering the door and many of the dishes still have to be hand dried. At this price, I did not sign on to be dryer.

Mysterious silverware basket

I've used my whirlpool dishwasher twice since installation and am very satisfied with its cleaning performance. It's quiet and relatively easy to load with the exception of the silverware basket. I've discovered that the slotted spaces are too small for my silverware rendering that feature useless. Also where to put the basket is a challenge in that on this e door is not a fixed attachment. Thursday silverware falls out when the door is open and flat. Other than that I'm very pleased with my choice of brand.

We were pleased to find the Whirlpool dishwasher available in a style to match our older kitchen, but yet a thoroughly modern and efficient machine. It has much more capacity than our older machine. While the cycles take longer than older models, it uses far less water and power, and we understand the benefits of this newer technology. It produces clean and dry results, without any residue or spots. The stainless steel interior will be far better than our older enamel model. The basket for silverware takes a lot, and one can use different slots. One can also take it out and place it on a counter while emptying it.We are happy with this new and improved machine

I like the color and how quiet it is.Our dishes definitely cleaner than they were. I also like how it fits into the space better than our old.Silverware basket as set up using slots only half of our sliverware fits. They also put a sticker on the lower right hand corner I not like, and It is too difficult to remove. I would have given 5 stars if they had not put that sticker on.Because the lining is staianless steel and the rinse aide is gray, it is hard to see how full the rinse aide dispenser is.

I do not recommend this appliance to anyone. Twice replaced and have now ordered a different brand. Computer board is not correct and the system does not go into a drain cycle unless you force it manually and then it takes 3 or 4 runs to fully drain the machine.

Quiet and sleek

It was a quick decision to buy a new dishwasher. I did a little research and found the 2 most important things to me was a stainless steel drum and a quiet / sleek look. The bisquit color is hard to find (older remodeled kitchen) and this one fit the bill. I love it. The silverware tray on the door is new to me and I am trying to get use to it, I may need to move it in to the bottom rack. However, all of my big dishes fit and they come out great.

All the Sensors and Timing May Not Be Working Correctly

Super quiet. every dish clean! reasonable DIY install. They took a couple of inches from the bottom (install/work space) to give a little more room in the tub. The down side is it is very tight space while connecting the unit to water, drain, and electric; but that is a one time thing, right. The one hour wash really works. But, we use the 'sense' wash cycle and just let it run. Most times 3 hours. Yes, 3 hours start to finish. That seems to be the standard for Energy Star dish washers, saves water, uses less then 2.5 gallons of water to do a complete wash/rinse cycle. 1-hour cycle uses over 8 gallons of water; but just as clean. I wonder about the total carbon foot-print 2+ extra hours of electric use vs 5.5 'extra' gallons of water. Well this unit give me the choice. Love it.

Poor replacement

Replaced a worn out mid priced dish washer with an energy conserving model. i hope it conserves energy, it certainly doesn't clean or dry dishes. And it takes a long time to do it to boot. When it was first installed it had a foul smell. (before it was even used). The in the door silverware basket has two slot sizes, one larger than the other. Our silverware will only fit in the larger holes. So we are out of silverware space before the racks are full. The one good thing I can say about it is that it is very quite.

Used it once -did not have 2 1/2 hours to do a moderate load so programmed it for the 1 hour cycle. Poor performance - left tea and coffee stains almost untouched, Fair job of cleaning on the rest of the load. Kudos for extremely low noise level which I assume translates to great insulation - big plus for me as it sits next to the refrigerator. I should have read the literature on it closer before I ordered it but the decibel level was the main thing I looked at. Probably would not have ordered this model if I had realized how long it took to cycle a load. Good thing I don't use a dishwasher much - my last one lasted 20 years +.

NEGATIVES REGUARDING OUR NEW DISHWASHER

Doesn't remove tea stains from cups.The RINSE AID indicator is hard to find and the level ofdrying agent is impossible to determinePoor design on the SILVERWARE BASKET

Great job on dishes, while at the same time very quiet.

Love the quiet

We only just got it so I can only gave 4 stars. But seems like good replacement for our 25 year old Maytag.The thing we really appreciate is the quiet. That old Maytag was dependable, but it was noisy.
