Works like a charm

I have enjoyed my dishwasher very much. The dishes come out very clean. Could have a little more room though. Not much clearance from top of dishwasher to top rack, for large mixing bowls, but that being said, it has been so nice to have. Not too noisy. I run it before going to bed, so I don't hear it anyway. But my husband has not complained about the noise yet. :)

The inside size is too small and the racks are positioned incorrectly. It's also extremely hard to open (you need 2 hand to open). That's not efficient for an ada model. Washes ok. Disappointed with it

Very nice and quiet, the rack setup is not what I expected, but works fine. The only complaint would be the latch for the door. There's no mechanism to speak of, Basically just a loop that squeezes into a slot in the cabinet. Didn't see that online where we ordered from.

I have used this dishwasher for 2 weeks and it washes dishes, glasses and silverware very well. The space inside the diswasher is small but I needed a smaller than typical height dishwasher to work with my kitchen remodelings. We have two of these dishwashers, since we have two kitchens.

Bought this dishwasher due to kitchen renovation. Needed a DW is a hurry. Had it for two months now. It does clean the dishes well and it looks nice. However, the capacity is much less than my old KitchenAid. The top rack is 1/3 smaller than the bottom rack. The top rack is not adjustable, so forget about putting wine glasses or to-go coffee cups on the top rack. The plastic connectors on the silverware baskets do not keep the baskets together as a unit which I find annoying. The basket compartments are all the same size so if you have a small plastic lid or small item that shouldn't be put on the rack, there is really no place to put it. My husband calls the silverware baskets flimsy. As for the sound level, it is very loud. When it was first installed, we thought there was a problem with the motor because of how loud it was. The repair person came only to say nothing was wrong. It is just a loud machine. I bought the Whirlpool to match my refrigerator which I was not replacing. I am very disappointed with this DW and will replace it very soon. I'm doing my research now. Hindsight is always 20-20.

Have had this dishwasher for a week and am very disappointed. The top rack is very small and 3" shorter than the bottom rack. Very difficult to load and doesn't allow for large loads or larger items. It is also very noisy. We actually thought something was wrong with the motor and had a repairman come to check it out. Nothing was wrong -- it is just loud. We are not keeping this appliance. Unfortunately, can't take it back to the store.

Wanted to love this but...

We replaced all of our appliances and we love everything else except this dishwasher. We chose this model because of the stainless steel tub but it seems to be one of the only features we actually like about it.It fits in the space that our old dishwasher fit in and yet it seems, capacity-wise, it is a good bit smaller. It is a tall tub dishwasher and yet that is irrelevant due to the loss of width and depth of the tub. We are running loads more often than was necessary prior to installation. The silverware basket is probably our biggest peeve. It is constantly falling apart. It doesn't fit well in the space it is made for and nothing secures it to the rack. It is cheaply made of light plastic and is an awful design feature. The racks are more annoying than anything. The bottom is always falling off of it's sliding grooves and does not slide smoothly out. It catches in a gap between the door and the bottom of the dishwasher. This knocks it off of the grooves, and requires you to manually place it back in place.May be a plus for some but we learned from our mistake that is was not... The drying cycle seems too hot (even with the heated dry option turned off) We have melted a couple items- one of them being, our dishwasher safe blender pitcher that is unable to fit on the top rack. The manual refers to an air-dry or energy-saving dry option but I don't believe there is a setting outside of keeping the heated dry option off.The dishwasher cleans well for the most part. Have had some issues with silverware not getting clean. On the plus side the buttons are self explanatory and running the dishwasher is very simple. I also like the lock feature, since we have a 2 year old that likes pressing buttons. And as I mentioned before, I like the stainless tub. It is easy to clean when needed and for us it seems to stay cleaner than the plastic tubbed dishwashers.

Defaulted to this dishwasher due to space issues. Couldn't be happier...washes flawlessly on the normal setting, realitively quiet and super built. Concerned after reading some negative reviews, but have only been pleased. Very similar to the older well built Kitchen aid by Hobart machines.

Acceptable, not the best rack design.

This was the only dishwasher model I could find where the total depth (with door open) would fit in my kitchen. We had initially purchased another Whirlpool model where the total depth was about 1.5 -2 inches too long. That being said, I'm not that pleased with the rack design, or the overall interior size. There is definitely less dish storage capacity compared to the 1996 model Whirlpool dishwasher we replaced. Plus the silverware holder is on the lower rack instead of the dishwasher door. We prefer it to be inside the dishwasher door. The silverware holder is cheaply made. The handle broke (not thru abuse) on the 2nd use of our new dishwasher. It seems to be a sub-standard material (plastic) that's apt to break easily. Whirlpool said they would be sending us a replacement, which we hope to receive any day now. One other thing is the dishes don't seem to get totally dry. This is another bad comparison to our previous Whirlpool dishwasher. On the good side, the dishwasher runs very quiet.

This dishwasher does s grew job getting the dishes clean. However, it really does not hold much. Another problem is the flatware holder. Many of the slots are way too small and the holder itself is always falling apart, as it comes in 3 pieces. I do love the stainless steel tub.

The machine cleans well and is very quiet. I would give it 5 stars except for som design issues. The silverware rack is boxy and not sleek like the other Whirpool models. The top rack fold down racks are awkward and actually topple stemware unless braced up be a tall glass or heavy cup. I had to get this model because of height issues and I was disappointed that I could not put silver in the front, thus freeing room for larger pieces.

I am pleased with this dishwasher. It works well. With moving I have had several dishwashers replaced over the last 3 years and this is the first one I have been happy with. Front controls, but not so sensitive that I turn it off leaning on it. Straight forward controls, lots of action, dishes are coming out clean.

Bought this three months ago. Very quiet, dishes are clean. Issue is Tiny capacity. A days dishes for three people completely fills it. 10" or bigger Pots and pans end up hand washed. So if you don't mind doing dishes, and hate dishwasher noise, this is your prefect choice!

Replaced our 10 year old black GE dishwasher with this stainless whirlpool model. First reason was to match other stainless appliances during a kitchen remodel but after only a couple uses we could tell this was much superior in cleaning our dirty dishes. We hope this dishwasher will last for many years and that is why we elected for the stainless tub inside. Our local dealer, did a great job delivering and installing this dishwasher. It is very easy to use and my wife loves the buttons easily accessed on the front of the door. I thought our old dishwasher did not need replaced but now I realize it was not completely cleaning all the dishes in just one wash. We do not have to wash them twice with this new model!

This is my second dishwasher with a stainless steel interior, and I really like that feature even though I don't have to worry about water stains in my present location. Everything works very well, quiet and seems to clean the dishes very well. I would suggest moving the large imprint "Whirlpool" off the front panel as every time I glance at the dishwasher I think there is a large dirt spot or smudge. Perhaps move up to the controls? Other than that, I'm quite happy.

For the most part, am happy with it except that it does not have a pause button if I need to add an additional item. Secondly, it does not have a door latch, so each time i need to open it to add an item or when the washing is complete, I have to yank it out, and it takes a little more than casual effort to do that. Otherwise, it is sleek, quiet and cleans efficiently.

I had to replace a kitchen Aid dishwasher and within the current lines of dishwasher, only the Whirlpoo could fit into the space provided by a 1971 custom built house. The other one a GM was not stainless steel. The dishwasher is very cute, but much smaller in width than the original and also much smaller in depth. So it is like a miniature. It works allright, has different cycles to choose from, but when it comes to rinsing the silverware, it does not work that well and only with special detergent and always with rinsing liquid. There is always a light film on silverware. For anything else it is OK, but not more than OK.

This dishwasher was bought to replace a dishwasher that stopped working. This dishwasher has worked great. The selling point for me on this was the hard food dispenser -- you don't need to worry about cleaning filters or not rinsing the dishes enough. You just put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher and you're done.

I will start with what is good about this dishwasher - it fits in the space I have. We replaced our kitchen floor and had to go with a dishwasher less than 33 1/2 inches high. It does fill the width space and the installer did a nice job of making it look good. It does seem to clean adequately. My appreciation stops there.Every time the door is opened or closed there is a "beep" sound - can't be turned off. I need to pull quite hard to even open the door. The door doesn't open flat so the bottom rack rolls back into the tub. I was especially disappointed with the interior size. It is very small and shallow depth. Don't expect to wash many pans at one time. The silverware rack is a joke. It comes apart and can't be moved to another more convenient place in the dishwasher. I finally took the handle off and removed the slotted covers. The flip-down racks in the upper basket won't stay up and were always in the way of putting glasses, etc. in the dishwasher - they went the way of the silverware covers. The baskets seem cheap and do not look like they will hold up over time. Overall a very poor design. I would not recommend this dishwasher. I have a feeling we will not keep it for very long. Wish I had gone with the full size model and taken the chance of getting it to fit.

I would have to say that overall this is a good dishwasher in terms of getting your dishes clean. The smaller tub is good for those older homes with odd sized cupboards. The problem I've had is the delay timer and pots and pans buttons do not work. Repair has been called...but still not here. Other than that this is a good dishwasher.

We've had our dishwasher about 6 months and feel it is doing the job quite well. We hope the energy savings are not eaten up by the required use/purchase of Jet Dry rinse accent products. Jet Dry is required in order to have "dry" dishes. The "heated dry" feature does not dry the dishes by itself.

My husband bought this dishwasher for me and I was so excited until I actually used it.The basket that holds the silverware is segmented and falls apart. The racks are lightweight and cheap. They won't stay in the grooves and I have to physically pick them up and put them inside.Dishes won't get clean and are spotty unless you use half the soap only in the left compartment, use a rinse agent, and use hi-temp wash.

So Disappointed! After much research, we selected another model by Whirlpool. However, our counter height forced us to substitute this ADA compliant model. Not much choice. What are the problems? The top shelf is designed so that whatever cup or glass is put in, falls over when it is closed. The tines are not designed for bowls. The bottom shelf does not pull out smoothly, but like there is a speed bump. So plates move around, after we have finally pushed them into spaces that, once again, are not flexible. And I have to listen to my husband repeat how much he hates this dishwasher every time he loads it.

Very poor design, especially for the price tag. This dishwasher did not fit the required opening very well. The space inside the dishwasher is very small and very disapointing. It is very difficult to fit anything of any size into the racks. Whirlpool fell very short with this deisgn and should rethink this model. I would not recommend this model to anybody. Our last Whirlpool dishwasher lasted less than 3 years before the pump went out. The cost of repairing that pump led my wife and I to purchase new. We picked the comparable unit, but are very disapointed.
