Lousy at washing dishes

Unless we almost wash the dishes before loading them, they don't all get clean in the dishwasher. We've used the best detergents and all the cycles, but nothing makes a difference. It's been 4 years of disappointment and frustration with this stupid machine. I'm really disappointed.

I had this dishwasher for only 2 years when the heating element went out and the 1 hour wash cycle ran for 4-5 hours instead. The last dishwasher I had lasted 8 years before I had any issues with it. This was my 1st Whirlpool dishwasher, hopefully they're not all junk like this one! Good Luck!!

Bought this dishwasher to replace an older Whirlpool dishwasher that was worn out. This washer works fairly well but is louder than we were used to. Washing is satisfactory but the drying cycle is not adequate. Tried every setting and combination of cycles and most of the dishes are dry but the silverware tray is always dripping wet and silverware must be hand dried.

Silverware basket on the door is a great design!

My last Whirlpool dishwasher lasted over 20 years and never needed servicing during that time. One feature that I loved in my old dishwasher was the silverware basket on the door and was delighted to find this on my new dishwasher as well. There is no need to open the door all the way to put in silverware and no space is wasted having the basket on the lower shelf. One feature I was disappointed in was the less sturdier construction. The material used in my old model seemed much more substantial and heavy duty than the new one. I would rather pay a bit more and have a dishwasher that would stand up longer to daily use. This model does seems quieter than my old one which I appreciate.

We've had this dishwasher for a few months now and it's a good dishwasher, but the only problem we have had is that even with the heated drying on,, it doesn't seem to dry the dishes very well. We wind up having to leave the dishwasher door open to finish the drying.

I am so happy that I purchased this dishwasher. It cleans way better than any other I have ever owned. I just use the one hour cycle and that does the job. I do prerinse in most cases but even if not just using that one hour cycle all is clean and sparkling.

I am older and find the printing on the front of the door very hard to read. You should make the letters larger and darker. The silverware holder on the door will not hold my butter knives except on the right side. If I put them on the left side the soap dispenser interfers and the door will not shut.

Washer motor broke after 5 weeks. I waited 4 weeks for whirlpool to send a tech to look at it. I™€™m now told it will be another 3 weeks until the part comes in. I™€™ve called multiple times to complain and told them they sold me a ™€œlemon™€ and I want them to take it back and let me choose a different machine. I was told that if it broke down within 4 weeks they may have allowed that.

We are seniors and wanted a moderately priced dishwasher to replace our old broken one. After researching, we picked a Whirlpool and looked at it at a big box store, but decided to buy from a local dealer. It was not going to be in stock for quite some time so we ordered the next model up from a catalog. We are pleased with our choice - it's very quiet, I love the one hour wash feature, and does not have all the extra cycles we never used anyway. The one thing we weren't expecting was how much smaller the racks are. I don't know why - the dishwasher fits in the same spot as our old one. It is fine for us as we don't have big groups here anymore, but be aware if you need the larger racks. Even the silverware rack is half size of our old one. It came on the door, but I prefer it in a rack, and there is room to put it there. We are happy with our choice, but if you have a large family, lots of company, etc., you might want to check out one that has the larger racks of most dishwashers. Otherwise, for the price, it is a very nice dishwasher and gets the dishes clean - the most important fact!

Good cleaning, but...

I bought this dishwasher because our 20+ years old one quit working. I really liked the silverware holder in the door option, however, the silverware caddy, no matter where you place it in the dishwasher, comes out wet on the bottom every time, note the silverware is dry, but the bottom of the caddy is dripping. The same thing with the inside of the door. We run the dishwasher before bed and twelve hours later the inside of the door is still wet and I have to leave it open to dry which is very annoying. So far the dishes have come out clean and dry and the unit runs quietly.

Serviceable unit for the price

This is a nice model, a bit loud at times but for the price it really works well and does everything we need it to. The removable utensil tray is great. Biggest issue for me was the unit arrived and it didn't work, serviceman had to come out, the buttons were not seated properly which made them unable to be depressed. Kind of a downer to put in the work of installing it and then having to spend time troubleshooting it and not being able to use it from day 1. No issues since then.

I've had this dishwasher for about 7 weeks now and it has been great! I love the 1 hour wash cycle for the times that I need dishes done in a hurry. Otherwise, I load it up and turn it on after 8pm when the electric rates are less and in the morning: clean, dry dishes! Lots of room, and the moveable cutlery rack is a plus. Sometimes I leave it on the bottom rack; other times when I need more room, I attach it to the door. Thus far the dishes come out very clean and dry. Sometimes the cups or glasses are a bit wet on the tops, but not a big deal to me. Noise level is OK and I love that I can easily see what cycle the machine is on AND when it's all done it shows "clean". I'm happy with my purchase and the price was very good. (I do not need all the bells & whistles that come on many machines).
