I bought this stove 1 1/2 years ago to replace the 30 inch 4 burner electric cooktop that was 28 years ago. I am very disappointed in this cooktop compared to the older model. It is made with very cheap thin metal. The metal top heats up to a very high temperature that one can get burned once a burner is turned on. Also,
the burner pans under the coils burn up and turn a black grey, to never return to the shiny metal that they were. I have had to purchase burner pans 4 different times to replace them. The metal surface has buckled in front of the right front burner from
the intense heat that is given off. This cooktop is dangerous with having small
grandchildren around who may touch the cooktop while in use.

Really like this cooktop. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because the painted on and off is hard to see in direct light. No suggestions on how to fix that. Maybe by making the on/off darker or a thicker font.

I was in Lowe's looking for a glass-top and was told that they would need to order one in. I was panicked due to cooking often and started out of the store to see if I could purchase elsewhere when I came upon one that was delivered and another customer decided not to take. It was located in their discount area so after I looked in the box to see the size & seeing It fit I loaded it up and took it home and at a great price.
It works great! I may need to update if my house goes on the market but cooking with this stove-top is fantastic to me.

The cooktop we had when we bought our house - which was three years old - lasted about seven years. So the cooktop was about 10 when it blew. And by "blew", it actually flamed up. I replaced it with the same model four years ago. The indicator light no longer works. The decals around the knobs have almost totally come off. And as far as "dishwasher safe knobs" go, they are completely rusted, which happened with the old cooktop as well. The burners are also rusting and falling apart. Very poor quality but these days, I guess you get what you pay for.

My old stove was 30 years old, surprised at how fast it warms up, it took a little practice getting used to the settings. It heats evenly, wish I had replaced the old stove sooner.

We replaced out Glass smooth surface with this. The glass top constantly needed cleaning, which was a challenge. My wife cooks with several cast iron pots & pans, the glass broke within the first 6 months, and had already quit heating as it should. This stovetop cleans quickly and easy. It holds up great no matter what we are cooking with.

The Whirlpool 30" cooktop is a little smaller than other brands. If it fits into your countertop, it is the most cost effective product to buy. Works fine and cost less.

We received our new stove top about a week and a half ago. One of the burners was not working, but Whirlpool customer service was great in getting someone out to fix it. I was a little disappointed that this stove top does not lift open for cleaning. Overall it seems to be a good stovetop.

I have never had a stainless steel appliance before and would not buy another one. They are hard to keep clean. The saucer under the burner sits up too high and it is hard to get under the saucer to clean up spills. The placement of burners and knobs leaves no place to move hot things from off the burner or to place any other needed items. I guess that is to prevent scratching. I much prefer my painted metal top.The stove itself works great and it is wonderful to have all burners working.

This cooktop replaces a similar Whirlpool model that finally gave out after 22 years. It works much the same except the dials are not as convenient and it heats very fast. The coils cool a little slower so you have to be careful about leaving pots and pans on the burners which would result in over-cooking. The burners are easily removed for cleaning. Overall we are very satisfied.

Although I have not had the cooktop long, but as a former professional cook and baker, I use my stoves a great deal. I prefer natural gas cooking but since that is not available to me at my present residence, I appreciate the temperature controls in this, which is good for an electric range. They run a from very high to very low and most points in between, as with any electric range, they vary.Clean-up is very easy with this model, and it is very attractive.

This cooktop was a great choice. Was economical, easy to use and clean. Much easier to keep nice than the black we replaced, and much easier than the ceramic flat top type. Highly suggest you look at this unit, am surprised that I prefer it to stainless steel for looks.

Nice cooktop. Easy to install. Looks sharp. Easy to clean. Works like a charm. Very happy with the product for the price. Note, it could have fit in a smaller counter top cut out then what was noted on line under the specs. The install hole could've been an inch smaller all the way around .

If you are tired of your pots sliding around on your cooktop, this is an electric cooktop that keeps your pots and skillets on the burner. This is the only cooktop of this type that has the controls on the side rather than in the center which is a hazard waiting to happen. It is easy to clean and looks great with my other stainless steel appliances.

Modern version of the same Whirlpool cooktop that was installed in 1964. Bought this model rather than a ceramic one because I sauté vegetables and slide skillets fry pans to toss the cooking food, something that is not recommended on the newer models. Our giant Whirlpool oven is the same age and doing just fine.

I like it just fine except two of the coil elements that I use the most aren't very sturdy and they are hard to take out and clean because the back comes loose

We had a GE Stovetop that was fin when it was installed when the house wa built, but not all the burners would work, and the temperature was erratic. The new stovetop is simple to use and is reliable !
