I,like Melissasippi have a problem with the large burner on my Whirlpool cooktop.
Model w5ce3024xb00 series D71508876.
purchased from Home Depot about two years ago, and they just blew me off like oh well.
My wife and i enjoy cooking for family gatherings and with Thanksgiving coming up i see challenges already. This is an amazing piece as it falls in line with the Whirlpool double oven, fridge and the all around decor of our kitchen,and performed well when new, however lately it has become a nuisance to have to stand there and guard my pasta sauce so as not to stick/burn

We were given the cooktop as a gift and are so pleased with it's performance. It is very easy to keep clean, heats up at a very good rate, and the safety light to let us know the cooktop is still hot is an excellent feature.

We love the sleek look of this top on the black granite love that we can change the size of the eye to fit the pan size. I need the heating element to heat a little differently, now it heats and then then goes up to full heat full blast and if on 5 it would be 50% of the time 3 =30% so you can burn eggs or pancakes fast!

We have owned this glass cooktop for just over a year, after owning glass top ranges for many years. Shortly after purchase, I regretted it. The burners do not heat evenly. One burner takes forever to heat up and at times seems like in the middle of cooking it turns off and on. The largest burner doesn't maintain a consistent heat. Even when it is on medium, it heats it seems to continue to heat up to HOT. Yeasterday, I had it on low/simmer and my stew was bubbling and boiling vigorously after just a few minutes. I have burned more foods because of this issue. In my 10+ years of using a glass cooktop, I have never ever had this issue. Top that off with how difficult it is to keep clean (more so than previous cooktops I've had), makes me so disappointed that I didn't do better research before purchasing.

I bought a new ceramic stove top to replace the one I broke. I am thrilled with the strength of the new burners. My previous stove top took forever to heat up and boiling water took a long time. it is a pleasure to cook with this unit.

We have used a white shott/ceran glass stove top. It has been impossible to keep clean. We have tried several brands of pots, pans, and frying pans. After each use there are dark stains on or in the glass. I can't figure out how a glass surface can appear to be so stained. We have also used different cleaners on it and nothing works.

I ordered this cooktop and love it so far. Be aware that it comes with open wiring. I thought it would come with a plug on it already, but it did not. That was just an assumption I made. I think it has open wiring so that it can be adapted to different situations. I had someone who I know that does electrical work wire it to the appropriate plug end and it works great. Easy to clean and very sleek. I also like the it's made in the USA.

Bought this at a good price recently during a Labor Day sale. Looks nice and works great. Only complaint is that it requires a lot of attention/work to keep the ceramic glass top looking clean and new. Other reviews I have read mentioned a similar issue. But, overall, very satisfied so far.

Bought this a couple months ago, as we are updating our kitchen. It was probably the cheapest cooktop at NFM, but it looks modern and meets all our needs. I especially like that the knobs come off so you can run them through the dishwasher. Definitely keep some Cerama Bryte cleaner handy (or something similar) so you can clean any burnt on spills before they are stuck like cement. Like any glass top, it easily gets dirty, but I expected that. If I continue to clean it well, I imagine I can keep it looking brand new for a long time.

Remodeled kitchen after 40 years, we went from a 5 burner down to a 4 burner...kids have grown and moved out so my wife and I wanted something simple, clean and looked good. Beautiful cooktop...I'm glad I chose Whirlpool! I've had it about one month and it works GREAT! It cooks evenly, and the controls are very easy to use. I've given it a 4-Star rating instead of 5, because I would prefer two large burners instead of one. Also...as a side note, which has nothing to do with the rating, I wish there was a protective cover available for the large glass top.

I replaced a 38 year old coil cooktop and wasn't sure glass would heat as quickly. I am wowed by my new Whirlpool Gold cooktop. The only issue was using my 40 year old Farberware pan before cleaning the bottom. It really updated the kitchen. I purchased heat resistant potholders at Bed Bath & Beyond to protect it from scratches when placing casseroles, etc. on top. I am also pleased with the larger burner in the front.
