One of the best things I admire about this machine is that it has, and continues to be made In The USA. So far it's been an amazing. It's quiet, easy to learn to use, and it has changed the aroma in our laundry room from a moldy odor to a fresh soapy clean odor. We've had front loaders for decades, of which i personally never used, as they seemed to complicated for me. The Speed Queen on the other hand is straight forward and easy to use, so now I've become interested in doing the laundry as well. I doubt we will ever have to purchase another machine, as this one is a high quality, quiet workhorse. We took the time to do the research on this machine and are elated we chose this model. If anyone who reads this review is in the market for a washing machine, do yourself a huge favor and get a Speed Queen. You won't go wrong!

Works very good. I didnt realize how poorly our previous machine was washing the clothes. This machine does a thorough job, is fast, and quiet. We'll have to wait and see how durable it is. But it has a 7 year warranty. So Praise the Lord! Our previous machine died after 3 years.

Best top load, USA washer made today. Improvement suggestions: 1. Move the drain trap to the washer front, add an easy access door for the cleanup procedure. 2. Either pack an instruction book or an abbreviated "quick guide" with the washer. To make the owner have to request and wait weeks for an instruction book is not best in class.

We are 3 houses into our marriage and for some reason I really never heard of Speed Queen. We have had Kenmore, GE, LG, and Samsung - some we left in the house we sold when we moved to the next place (active duty Military) while others broke 5-8 years in. So, I'm at a place in life where I went into this washer dryer purchase putting reliability, performance and durability above all other factors. I just started researching "the best" compassion videos, testimonials, went to showrooms, etc. everything led to soled queen. Why didn't I ever hear of them!? I mean, even if you don't want to sell at a big box store… you can still run a commercial can't you Speed Queen?? Anyway, I'm blown away. Clean isn't even the word. I washed things that my previous washer had an opportunity to clean and it failed too. I'm pulling things out of here that look new! I love them. Specifically, the dryer dries. I washed and dried 22 king size pillows (2 at a time) and about 14 sets of sheets the week I got these babies. They did not disappoint. I put the setting on "dry" bs "near dry" and my stuff comes out DRY. ITS ALSO FAST, quiet, and big.

This washer actual cleans my clothes. Unlike the two other washers I've had in the past seven years. Straight forward operation. No crazy controls to figure out. Very fast cycles. We needed a new washer and were very tired of the previous washers breaking down every couple of years, plus doing a less than satisfactory job at cleaning. After I did quite an extensive amount of research, taking me several weeks, we decided to bite the bullet and pay the price of a new Speed Queen TR7. We feel that you pay what you get for and we were happy to contribute to our own 'buy Made in America' whenever possible. The machine is ultra quiet, cleans very well, has many cycles, water levels and temps, soil levels and more to choose from. Don't let the 3.7cf size fool you. I am able to wash my king size cotton comforter in there with a couple of pillow cases thrown in. I cannot think of anything that I would change. I am a "baby boomer". I grew up during an era when things were made to last and they were made in the USA where the manufacturers and the employees had to live up to their product. I really like the Speed Queen because it checks all these boxes as well. Currently, we are not in need of the dryer, but when that comes up, we plan to buy a Speed Queen dryer. Oh! forgot to mention, it comes with a 7 year warranty!

We ordered TR 7 and TR 5 washers for our motel use and the TR7 model has been giving issues from day 1. The TR 5 model works just fine. It wont spin in special cycles and shows error. The warranty is a pain to work with. We have the same tech come inspect it twice so far the issue is not fixed nor is the unit replaced. This is all within 1 month of purchase. DO NOT RECOMMEND this model.

We purchased our new Speed Queen washer and dryer after doing a bunch of research. My local appliance store was very nice is showing us many different washers. We wanted to replace an 11 year old Samsung that was recalled for flying apart. (It never did). Our Samsung was a washer that never got anything very clean. It used very little water and really didn't clean well. Plus, it was chuck full of mold. Yep, green mold and it would not come off. No. matter what we did! Gross. The speed queen actually uses some water to wash your cloths. Is very quiet when washing and spinning is amazing. ZERO vibration. And I do mean zero. The drain pump is a little loud. But not a big deal. As far as cleaning goes, we read the manual and it has been amazing at getting stains out the Samsung would never touch. Is is more expensive? Yes. But it has a 7 year warranty, is built like a tank and washes great. No more hassles. Try one. I bet you like it.

From the minute I received my Speed Queen, I was obsessed! First of all, it is so quiet. You can barely even tell that it is on. I love the digital display. It provides a variety of settings to choose from so I can personalize the load I am cleaning. This is handy because the way I need my sheets and towels cleaned is very different from how I need my clothes cleaned. Also love the seven year warranty! The TR7 is a quiet, well-built machine. I love the auto-fill feature. I know we are using less water per load, as well as having the clothes come out much drier due to the faster spin speed. I think the TR7 is a much better alternative to the top-load washers with an impeller or even those that have "agitators." If you tend to have very dirty laundry and want it done as fast as possible, go with the TR5. Otherwise, for our needs, I think the TR7 might take a little longer to do a load of heavily-soiled laundry, but I am very happy with our purchase. BTW, there is a LOT less lint in the dryer after each load.

When we got to the Speed Queen washers I asked about noise as I never owned a SQ. He said it is very quiet. How does it do on yard clothes? It cleans! No plastic gears. He was right!! I loved my Speed Queen TR7 from day 1! My clothes actually smell and look clean. So far, I have only used the auto-fill feature and it uses enough water to give the clothes a true washing and does not leave any soap residue like my old washing machine. It also washes clothes about 20 minutes faster than my old machine. My husband and son do construction and car repair work...the TR7 has no trouble getting those clothes clean.

One month into ownership and it is working great. This thing never gets a break. We're a family of four that play sports and have a dog. As with many other reviews, large loads are no problem. We have a queen size bed and our comforter is perfectly cleaned after a cycle. The sheer amount of options for washing is wild. It's a very stable machine and doesn't "walk" out from the wall like our other machine did. We're happy and impressed. Its a pricey machine but hopefully worth it.

As stated in the title, reliability is still unknown. Four small issues but I feel they are worth pointing out include; 1. Lack of a soap dispenser. Not a big deal but it wasn't pointed out at the store. Just means having to measure and add soap before clothing, different from most machines. 2. Not obvious that "normal" wash mode can't use hot water. Confusing terminology. 3. Very limited documentation (hard copy or online). For the price this machine should include better instructions. 4. Rebate processor sends a email with an obscure address that you must reply to before they start the process of providing your rebate. Why, the rebate form had everything they needed. Not strickly a Speed Queen issue but it relects on the company.

I bought a new washer from a different manufacturer and it was a nightmare. I wash daily and it kept going out if balance. It would bang and "walk" and since it was only 5 inches from my gas hot water tank I was on guard every time I washed. After 2 months of having to stand by the washer for 30 minutes every day and numerous service calls, I finally had enough. I researched and asked neighbors what washer they had. Only one had bought a new washer and she said, "Speed Queen and I love it. It's so quiet I don't even know it's on". I researched the Speed Queen and decided to buy the TR7. The salesman got a full refund for me on the out of balance washer. I've been doing laundry for over 50 years and never had a daily out of balance condition. I love my Speed Queen! It has multiple options for getting the optimum wash. And best of all not one out of balance condition. My Speed Queen is the best!
