This freezer is the greatest. Easy installation and with the adjustable shelving you are able to fit any size container on a shelf. With automatic self defrost, this is a busy family's dream. I would highly recommend it .

Good, Effective, Reasonably Priced Upright Freezer

We bought this particular freezer for two reasons the relatively narrow dimensions (we were putting it into a fairly cramped space) and because the door had to open with the hinges on the left. Very few have reversible doors and most freezers have the hinges on the right. This freezer was rather large in volume (18 cu ft), nice and narrow (just over 30"), has reversible door, and was very reasonably priced. It's a little basic but it works well so far and suited our needs very well

I bought this a month ago to replace an 15 year old model. It has far more room then the same size one I replaced. The door shelves hold so much then the old one. Was going to get a second freezer for the basement to keep bread in but have extra room with everything in it and things are so much easier to find. Also very quiet and does not run as often as others

This is a good size freezer that works well. Frost free is nice. we brought it as we had a smaller space to put it in and it was not a wide as many freezers of the same cubic space.

I thought it was made in the USA, but I cannot find where it states this??? I wish it were bigger. Now that I have it, the freezer is not ample size for myself and my husband. If I had a bigger family, it would not work at all. It does not freeze as cold as it should.

We know Whirlpool makes most of the freezers. We had a LEMON whirlpool which lasted less than 2 yrs. High noise, many parts failed, compressor failed. We chucked it. The Amana runs smooth and infrequently and is troublefree thus far. A great improvement but made by the same conglomorate.

I was concerned that our old freezer was using a lot of energy so I bought a meter to measure KWH. The old freezer was using about 1400 KWHs per year which is about four times what it should! I bought the Amana freezer based upon the dimensions where it would fit in our garage, the interior features and energy consumption. It fit perfectly and I loaded all of the contents from the old freezer with room to spare. The last test was to plug it into the meter and see how much energy it would use. As of just now it has been on for 983 hours and has used 40.32 KWH of electricity. That means that in one year it will use approximately 359 KWH, well below what the Energy Guide estimate that was posted on the freezer! This freezer is using 25% of the power that the old one was and that is keeping our electricity bill from going into third tier usage, the most expensive tier. I'm very happy with this appliance and would recommend it to anyone.

My boyfriend and I bought this a couple months ago and are happy with our purchase. Only issue we had was when we switched the door swing, it wasn't closing all the way but a repairman came out and fixed us up.

We bought this several months ago to give us space in our fridge freezer, using this to store less frequently used or bulky items like chicken carcasses to be used for making stock on a quiet weekend. Works great and love the Deep Freeze feature!

Purchased in April 2015. Like the size because I only had a 32 inch opening. Also like the non-boxy look. Has performed well, except for the interior light. Have already had to replace the interior bulb twice since April.

I really like my new freezer. It got cold very quickly. It moves easily. I need nothing fancy, just to do what it was made for, keeping food cold. I ordered a half of beef and it fits with room to spare.

I bought this as a replacement for another older model and I absolutely love it. I have 2 other freezers as we live a subsistence lifestyle so need functional, working freezers. I love the lights; they are brighter than any others. The door opens and closes so easy with hardly a pull.

Having had our new Amana frost free freezer for over a month, and having had 2 power failures during that period, I am very pleased with the way the freezer kept everything frozen solid during both power outages. It also does a great job at fast freezing.

I like the frostless part of the freezer because the last freezer we had wasn't frostless. I like the fact that you can adjust the shelves for different sized products. We received the freezer 3 weeks ago, it has performed well.

We have owned this freezer for a few months now and no issues what so ever. We considered a chest freezer but after seeing so many reviewes of people who complained of having to bend down and search we opted for the standing unit. The light illuminates everything and has a rapid cool down feature to drop temps fast. There are lots of shelves to store either in the unit or back of the door. You can also change the position of the door if you prefer a left or right side opening. All and all its been great and no issues.

This was recommended to us because it has reversible doors. We had an old chest freezer in a corner in our mud room and wanted to put this new one in the same location. The other nice feature is that the interior shelves are adjustable making for a great use of space.
