NEW FREEZER

We purchased this freezer about a month ago and are really concerned as it runs over 50% of tnhe time even though it is opened only once a day. We have lower the temp setting from the recommended #4 to about #2.5 as it would run constantly on the 4. We have a 25 cu. Ft. next to it and it is set on -10 degrees and is opened 2-3 times a day and only runs about 1 hour per day. It is not an amana.

My new Amana freezer is just what I needed. At present if it full to the brim and ready to help me serve Thansgiving dinner. The three plastic baskets are very helpful for sorting products.

Love the freeer but has a little rattle

I bought this about 3 months ago. I really like it. There are a couple of things I wished were different. First, it has a rattle. It is in the garage, so it does not bother me that much, just wish it was not there. Also the baskets, (which are plastic not wire), I wished stayed more securely on the lips of the freezer. They fall off easily and then the door does not shut properly. It really does a great job keeping everything cold though.

I bought this about 2 months ago. I love the size. I would have given it 5 stars, but have trouble keeping the 3 baskets in place. They want to fall into the freezer. Great appliance otherwise!

We needed a new, big freezer and this one hit the mark for good price, good features & a drain for defrosting. Plus they hauled to old freezer away. All good.

We bought our freezer in the summer of 1960 and it has been in continuous service except for a 2 year period while it was in storage. The freezer has required no service, some time in the 70s we painted it to match our other appliances. The model is DF 180, SN 5130172. We just wanted to let you know your company makes a quality product.

My other freezer stopped working and this was the only freezer for sale within a 50 mile radius. I got real lucky that it was an Amana. It is bigger than I wanted but that is all they had in stock. Glad I have it now. Can put more stuff in it now.
