My old freezer was worn out. I had to crank it up all the way just to keep it below freezing, and I had a good amount of venison in it that I didn't want to lose. I bought this Amana freezer and brought it home, set it up, leveled it, and after letting it sit a while to let it settle, I plugged it in and in about three hours it was 8 below zero F. I put about half of my food in it, waited a couple of hours, and put the rest of my food in it. A couple of hours later it was at 8 below zero again. Setting it up was easy, I'm really happy with this purchase. A great freezer!

I was extremely happy that I could purchase my Amana right here in my own home town. The price was right, delivery and installation was exceptional and it is doing a magnificent job for me! I only have one concern....it is not self-defrosting and it already has a film of frost (especially in one spot by the lid) and I don't know how I will be able to defrost it. I am older and need help. I wish I had an upright, self-defrosting freezer. BUT....my little chest type is just perfect and it performed just when I needed it most. Thank you for your product.

I needed a 7.0 cf chest freezer to store 1/4 of butchered beef. Among the different brands I considered, I chose Amana. It was the right choice. I can keep it in the garage, no problems with the lid seal, it has levelers, and after a month +, I have no complaints. It was delivered quickly, well-packaged, and set up. Once I turned it on, the freezer quickly reached the temperature I wanted and has maintained that temperature without fault. Perfect size for the beef with a little room to spare. Among the best prices, too! I can't imagine why anyone would choose one of its competitors. This was a great buy for me!

The compact freezer I recently bought appears to be working just fine and I am pleased with my choice. Finding a small one that could be stored in the garage was the first positive, altho I had to read through the manuals on my own since the sales clerks were saying they all could be used there by changing the temperature control as needed. (Unacceptable solution in our weather range). This freezer is 1/3 the size of my prior 47 year old model, so I am still adjusting to the organization of the items but I'm sure that will be figured out. The power light and compressor light are features that I appreciate. My only complaint, at this point, is questioning why the defrost drain is in the rear.

This freezer is much more spacious, runs quieter when the compressor comes on, and is very easy to move. This is definitely an upgrade. Great freezer for the price.

I didn't have a choice but to buy Amana, I live in a small town and our old freezer went out and we had to buy something right then. Our local furniture store only carries Amana appliances. We had no choice, but we do not like Amana appliances!! We have a Amana stove that I would give away if someone would take it off our hands!!!! I don't expect this freezer to last long!

I bought this for extra storage and as a backup in case my refridgerator went out. I was able to bring it home with me as it fit nicely in my mid-size SUV with seats folded down. It was easy to set up and got to a freezing temp in just a few hours. It is so quiet that you cannot even tell it is running. No problems so far after having it for 3 months.

I bought this freezer last year. It worked great and I was very happy with it until 2 weeks after the original warranty expired. At that time, the compresser gave out. I'm now shopping for a new freezer, 13 months after buying this one.

After reading the reviews, and my past experience with Amana products, I made the decision to purchase only an Amana chest freezer. We considered purchasing it on-line, but decided to pay a few dollars more and purchase it locally from an appliance dealer. (we are very satisfied with that decision also !)

We have been very happy that we purchased the Amana Compact Freezer! I enjoy he elbow room and the removable basket. I was surprised about how the door snaps up to the fully open position. I make sure I hang on to it so it does not hit the picture on my wall behind it. Our food has kept cold and I have seen no difference in my electric bill. I had parted with a smaller chest freezer to get this larger model.

I bought this freezer the 24th of October and am so pleased with it. It holds more than I thought it would. Love the lights to show that it is on and when the compressor is running. Model and Serial Number are easy to find. Certainly is an improvement over my previous freezer.

I bought this freezer almost 2 months ago to replace a competitor's product that only lasted 5 years. This freezer is nicely constructed and is much more quiet then old freezer. Even though it is only 7 cu. ft., the freezer holds a lot of food.
