I bought this range 2 months ago and had service out to fix a bent oven control knob and asked him to look at bottom plate as I thought that a screw had become dislodged as the bottom plate looked like it was laying on the floor on the left side. When he looked at it, it was smashed in on that side. Got a new range delivered today after waiting 3 weeks and low and behold same damage as the one it was supposed to replace. Damaged on left lower side and bent oven knob. I now have to wait another 3-4 weeks as they are back-ordered. There seems to be a problem somewhere with quality control if the same damage keeps happening. We will see how the next one looks. If the next one is damaged I do not know what I'll do!

The stove was delivered to an apt. that I live in . It takes over 2 hours to bake a potato at 450 degrees. The manager had a repair man come out from the manufacturer . The repair man stares at the stove and checks nothing just says there is nothing wrong with it. I will call the company myself and request that they send some one out that is not so lazy.

There is NO light inside the oven. There is also no window, but that doesn't bother me. But when I open the door to the oven, I would like to see my food with an internal light rather than having to remove the food to check on it.
Also, had to have the hinge on the broiler door fixed twice as it pulled out and bent.

I bought a black Amana simple basic gas stove what comes with an LP converter kit, the burners are all sealed in the lid there is no pan or remove, burners stop above the flame and fit inside the stove pop Nook, moving around, the electric light gas is convenient no matches if the electricity goes out still with the match, the Flames are evenly flowed no odors no smells noise the oven has no oven light which to me was a godsend I don't like getting down in taking a lightbulb out anyways . the broiler has a nice pan in broiler satpam in it . my stove set up sharp I love it The Price is Right 399 at Menards

Pay attention because if a pan or pot slides off the burner rack (i.e., the part the pan sits on over the burner), it falls off and everything in the pan or pot empties all over the range. This range is cheap and DEFINITELY not worh the money!!

I bought this stove because we wanted one without all of the electronic junk. I bought it online thru AAFES. If I had seen it in person on the store floor, I would have walked QUICKLY away. Who markets a stove WITHOUT A LIGHT IN THE OVEN???? The oven racks are TOO FLINSIY because they are so CHEAPLY made. Before we used it, I looked into purchasing some more racks but your price is OUTRAGEOUS.

In the 55 years I have been married I have had only one or two new ranges. The others were used. When it came time for a new a wanted an excellent range without all the bells an whistles. One with a true constant flame and even oven temperature. That is exactly what I have with my new Amana gas range. Not even an oven light and I love it. It bakes perfectly and the stove top maintains an constant flame even on low. I recommend it to anyone who wants a good "work horse" range at a very reasonable price.

I have this stove converted to propane using the jetting kit which was included. I am pleased with the ease of the conversion. The stove is working well so far & I do not expect any future problems. Horrible stove top. Can't adjust flames. Always at high. Broiler door does not pull out and is extremely hot to the touch. Have to kneel down to put things in and out of broiler. Since it is just a door and drawer that pulls out, very easy to burn your hand. If I could rate at lower than one star, I would. What a horrible range.

I find this product to be basic but functions well. The burners light every time. The previous gas range I had did not light every time and I found that frustrating. Personally these electronic start ovens aren't all that great but this does not pertain to just your product. Pilot lights on ovens meant it lasted a long, long time.

The spacing on the oven racks is to wide. Cannot place a potato on the rack for baking without it falling through. The broiler door opens but does not pull out so you can check on the food. You have to reach inside and slide the broiler pan out. It only comes with two racks so if you want to use a rack in the broiler you have to take it out of the oven and put it in the broiler. You also have to purchase a broiler pan separately.

I'm worried that the broiler is going to stop working as I have friends who have this range and the broiler sometimes arbitrarily does not turn on. This range is MUCH better however, than the lower priced Amana range I bought last October. That broiler, a separate unit below the oven, did not produce sufficient heat to broil. The oven itself reached a temperature higher than the so-called broiler. Gormsen's Appliances finally replaced the defective range with this one, after months of Amana insisting the range was working correctly. Here's hoping this appliance continues to work!

I bought this product in November 2014 and the oven gas safety valve quit working 14 months later. Since Amana products are only warrantied for 12 months, they would not repair it. My last stove lasted 24 years before the oven stopped working. Worst product I've ever bought!
