My new Amana dishwasher was a learning experience. I was used to a machine using lots of water and making noise. This dishwasher is quiet and uses much less water than my Kitchenaide. I can also throw in a small soap dishpack and no longer buy boxes of powder. Very pleased as I bought on sale for $530 delivered from Home Depot.

I bought this unit as a replacement for my Whirlpool dw. I love how easy it is to operate and how my tall pots and pans fit in the bottom rack with no problem. The soilsense feature works great and my dishes, pans, and silverware stay looking brand new after every cycle. It does all the work and you can barely hear it. I love it!

Wanted: stainless steel dishwasher

Running the old dishwasher out of town, now that the stainless steel bad guy is hooked up in the kitchen. Great container for cutlery, nothing to rust out, holds lots of dishes and does a great job of cleaning everything. Saddle up, there's a new sheriff in town.

This is the best dishwasher we have had! It was easy to install and is very quiet! It has the smart sense technology to make sure all my dishes come out clean! Everything I have washed in it has come out completely clean. I love not having to worry about rinsing them off first. The reviews I read prior to choosing this Amana are what led me to buy it. I always try to read both the positive and the negative, the latter of which were few. This dishwasher works wonderfully, it's amazingly quiet and very efficient. The appearance is very sleek and love the fact that the control are on the front and the black panel they are on also allow you to open the door without having to touch the stainless steel.

Amana Dishwasher

After buying a new Washer and Dryer recently from Amana, we decided when our old Dishwasher needing updating that we were going to invest in a new Amana. We had been very pleased with the results of the washer/dryer so what the heck, we made the leap. Our biggest issue that we faced was to find a vendor that would come to Rocky Mount, Virginia and install at a reasonable rate also. Our local Lowe's store was not willing to sacrifice a few dollars, so we went with my old friend from The Appliance Outlet in Roanoke, Virginia and we have been very pleased with all phases. We bought it December 3, 2016, but had to wait until 1/13//17 for the installation. Apparently the one we ordered was out of stock, but anyway it is here now and my darling wife, Ann, is pleased as she can be. Thanks Amana for another great product!

Our old dishwasher was about 25 years old and still chugging along. Cleaned dishes OK, but there were times they could have been better. Ordered this new Amana, and was pleasantly surprised at how much quieter it was......AND the dishes were sparkling! My old dishwasher was not getting dishes clean, and glasses were no longer clear--even the inside of the dishwasher would not get clean. I had to rinse and clean food off the dishes before loading. My new Amana with stainless steel interior works great! I no longer need to practically wash the dishes before loading them. The dishes and the inside of the dishwasher become sparkling clean!

This dishwasher moves around a lot because they didn't anchor it down good. It has rust spots inside which I'm not sure why a dishwasher would be rusting. It also does not seem to dry the dishes fully ever. You can't just pick one feature like dry, you have to run the entire clean cycle. This dishwasher was a mistake.

The amana dish washer is very quiet and cleans very well. The cycles are a little long but dishes come out clean. I just purchased it a month ago and can see a problem coming down the road. Its the way they designed how you open the door. Your pulling on the plastic of the control panel and it going to crack the plastic over time and probably also mess with the electronics or (mother board) behind it. Only time will TELL and I will sure be back to let you know. It will probably be out of warranty when it does break.

My old DW was in bad condition. The Amana is a vast improvement! It is quiet, does a good job washing, and drying (as good as a DW can dry). I will need to get some stainless steal cleaner/polisher as the front of the DW really is a finger/water mark magnet! Have used it for just over a week, and have no issues!

I've used this on two settings - normal and heavy soiled. For the heavy duty one, I included the screen from our counter top stove filter and the grill insets. The filter was particularly greasy. This took about one hour longer than the normal cycle but it was worth it. Everything came out great. I'm also impressed with the rack design. The dishwasher is the exact same size as the one it replaced, but it sems that I'm getting a lot more per load.

We bought this to replace an old washer. We wanted a model with basic cycles that was quiet and relatively inexpensive. This fits the bill! It is amazingly quiet! We can carry on conversations and watch tv while it us running. That was very important for the layout of our house. Only thing it doesn't have is a basket for top rack for small top rack items.

So disappointed. I spent two weeks researching dishwashers and thought for the money this was the best option. But there is no way of loading dishes without the bottom rack that fold down and adjust to different size pots and pans. When we do run a load the medium setting doesn't get the dishes clean. But the high setting melts anything that is plastic. Even though it says dishwasher safe. I could live with the temp. settings but it does need a bottom rack that can adjust.

Very quiet, works great!

Installed our Amana stainless steel dishwasher about 6 weeks ago and it really is very quiet and it cleans great, even dried-on food comes clean with no streaks. The cycle times seem a bit long, but that is how they achieve low energy consumption. We just set it on the 2 hr setting and shut it off before the complete drying cycle is completed and let the door ajar and let it air dry for a couple hrs. It works great. I certainly would recommend this product to anyone looking for good quality for a low price.

Only had the dishwasher 1 week but SO quiet! Hoping this one will not cause etching on glasses. Things are totally dry when cycle is finished. Does seem to take a long time for the cycle but maybe not. LOVE that's is made in the USA!!!!

A quiet moment

I love my new dishwasher. It is so quiet that I have to stand close to it to hear it wash my dishes. The only thing that surprised me is how long it takes to do 1 wash (close to 3 hours). The dishes come out clean and shiny although sometimes still a bit wet. I would strongly recommend it.

I love everything about this dishwasher. The only exception is that it does not dry my dishes all the way. It cleans them fine. It is very quiet. It accommodates a lot and is extremely durable.

Wow, dishwashers have come a long way! I had an apartment size dishwasher for about the last 12 years and this thing is HUGE by comparison. Bottom rack is great for tall items. Utensil tray has two closed baskets for washing small items, even has slots I can put water bottle straws in. Sound level is the lowest I have ever heard in a dishwasher. Appearance is attractive and it is very simple to use.

Dish washer does it job pretty well, very clean but the only draw back is user has to buy some type of tablet to help the machine drying feature. This drying feature works so so only.

It's taking a while to get used to the longer wash cycles. I'm trying to believe that a 2.5 hour cycle is more power efficient than an hour cycle. I am not used to washing taking this long. The washer looks good, feels solid and cleans very well.

Everything is great but the stainless finish is too fragile.

I have a new Amana dishwasher. It works extremely well. The only issue I have is the finish on the stainless steel door. There were "stickers" on the door, When they came off you had to remove the goo that held them in place. I used soap and water and wiped the door clean, but the process left the stainless with a sort of "brush mark". I don't believe there should be any stickers on the stainless if it is going to leave marks when you remove them. I believe there should be some warning as to how to remove these stickers.

I haven't have this dishwasher that long, but it seems to do a good job. I like the stainless steel interior. My only complaint would be that it is difficult to see the level on the jet dry dispenser.

I replaced an old dishwasher and was looking for a certain look to fit in with existing appliances. This was perfect and the stainless steel interior was a great selling point. One problem... there was a defective washer in a hose under the washer and it leaked. Had to call the installer back to replace it.

Great dishwasher!

We got this dishwasher about a month ago. We have hard water, and the biggest complaint was water spots on glassware. This dishwasher is amazing. Besides being very quiet, all the dishes come out spotless - including the glasses.
