Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Disappointing Recommendation

FrustratedinMN 11/14/2023

I bought this 10 months ago. The dry cycle has never once dried the dishes. This month three of the screws holding the front and inside of the door have fallen out and cannot be screwed back in. A minor but annoying detail is how much any water shows on the outside of the stainless steel door.

Stopped working in less than 2 months

Chad H 8/18/2023

Would sporadically not pull water with delayed cycles and completely stopped pulling water with in 2 months. Customer service to get a technician is a joke, kept getting hung up on by IVR. One part of the upper shelf continues to fall off. I also dislike that the light in the front only lights up during cycle. Would like it to turn blue when cycle is complete. As it is hard to see the top clean indicator

Overall Good

NewConstruction22 10/25/2022

Nice dishwasher all around. Quiet operation, and easy selection of different cycles. However, it overall feels smaller than other dishwashers I've had. Bigger items do not fit and take up a lot of space, and I feel like less items fit all around.

Dishwasher

cashr78 6/16/2021

Service people has been to the house several times already. My sorry dishwasher will not dry the dishes. When you open the door of the dishwasher the door has moisture. Sometimes I want check dishwasher until the next day. My other dishwashers never did this. I don't know why I have dishwasher if I have to dry the dishes. Oh now one service guy said well you need to run hot water for several minutes while the dishwasher gets hot water. Why in the !@#? am having to do this. My water bill is going to increase because of this. I have never heard of any thing so stupid.

TERRIBLE DISHWASHER

Jay67 7/15/2020

I bought this dishwasher based on the name. I always thought Amana had outstanding products. What a mistake that was. This is by far the worst dishwasher we have ever owned. Not long after having it installed, it quit washing. After speaking to customer service several times and doing what they asked (using several items to wash the dishwasher) they finally agreed to send a repairman. Waiting several weeks for him, he determined the pump was out and would have to order. A week later, he came back and replaced pump. I asked about why dishes never seemed to dry in this washer. He said the water needed to be hotter. Mind you, my other dishwasher never had this problem. But I thought ok, I will get an electrician to adjust heat on hot water heater. After all of this, the dishes are still soaking wet afterwards. Needless to say, this will be the last Amana dishwasher I or my family will ever own.

Pappy67 6/18/2020

I am very unhappy with this dishwasher. After less than a year we had to have the pump replaced. After trying several different things, including recommendations from the repair man, this dishwasher DOES NOT dry the dishes. Will not buy another of these and do not recommend it.

No better no worse than most. Not worth the price.

Petebrideau 1/13/2020

Like most on here the engine went within 2 years. This is our third dishwasher since we built our house 10 years ago. Even after the motor replacement, the wet thing that other people mention happens leaving a stench. I found out it just doesn't drain very well. So after every four hour cycle,. (The heavy one seems to be the only cycle that cleans) you have to push the drain functionality 3 or 4 times if you dont it will reek. My next dishwasher will be the cheapest one I can find and I will just replace it every couple years. My appliance repair guy said this believe it or not is one of the better ones but they are all junk so just buy a new one every 2 or 3 years. And no Im not calling some 1-800 # to speak to India but thanks anyway

I have heard lots about Amana products but never own one partly due to the expense! This dishwasher (so far) is good, it's so quiet, I love the stainless steel, so sleek and the controls are hidden! The one thing I was a little disappointed with and that was the company that I got it from brought me one that had a dent in it, I choose not to send it back because I had waited so long to get it, over all (so far lol) I am pleased!!!

Loving my new dishwasher...

briandamage 4/12/2019

This model was supplied to me (free!) by my home warranty company. It replaced a 2005 model from another manufacturer that hadn't stopped leaking since I moved in. I thought I might dislike having the controls -- all digital -- on the top edge of the door, rather than the front. I was also worried that kids (or grownups) might randomly pull the door open without a manual latch. Neither has been an issue, and performance-wise, the Dishwasher with SoilSense Cycle beats my mom's new high-end German model easily. I wish the dishwasher left things just a little bit dryer, but a quick dab with a dish towel or a few hours sitting open leaves everything fully dried and sparking clean. This is the best dishwasher I've ever used, and I'm glad we got it.

Motor gone

Drummer765 12/6/2018

We bought our dishwasher in February of 2017, and had it installed in March. It has worked great, but like many of the other reviews I'm reading here ans off this site, our motor has quit. The dishwasher fills with water, then nothing happens. If it's going to cost $300 or more to get it fixed, it's not worth it. We're trying to find our receipt to see if we purchased the extended warranty, but I don't think we did. $400 "down the drain".... From everything I'm reading, (wish I'd checked first) DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT....

Works well until the Motor Dies...

Dissatisfied Ash 11/8/2018

We are first owners of this dishwasher and it has only been used for a year and a half. I found that it cleaned well and that on most cycle setting the dishes came out dry. The dishwasher has nice visual appeal and worked for us. But none of that really matters when the motor broke on it after only a year and a half of use... Manufacturer warranty is 1 year and we were quoted a grand total of $420 to have the motor fixed... ridiculous since we got it for about $500. I would not purchase without some sort of additional warranty and not sure that I would re purchase for fear of the same thing happening again and so quickly... Also the service people that were recommended when I called to check if it was under warranty were awful to deal with and I am extremely dissatisfied with this whole experience.

Unhappy at first, but now satisfied

The Hoosier 1/19/2018

Our new Amana dishwasher was installed 12/14/17 to replace a 12-year-old Whirlpool that had done a good job but needed to be retired. My wife and I followed instructions, used rinse aid and the recommended detergent, and raised the water temperature, but were NOT happy with the new machine at all because dishes came out dripping wet and less than perfectly clean. The tub was drenched as well. Called for service and the technician discovered that the drain hose was not properly positioned. This had caused the machine to constantly fill and drain and did not allow the heating element to work properly. Now that the drain hose is where it should be, the dishwasher works perfectly. Dishes are spotless and dry and we are satisfied despite the exceedingly long wash time (which I now understand is done to meet government energy mandates). We also like the sleek, simple appearance of the machine and the simple control buttons on the top of the lid. It has all the cycles we need.

Won't drain out water, keeps turning on

phoneuser7 12/12/2017

We got this as a gift and from day one (2 days ago), the water doesn't totally drain out, but a good inch of water stays in the bottom--even after numerous times to run through the drain cycle. In addition, it keeps turning itself on even after we turn it off! Had loved the stainless steel front and the controls being on top, but it's been a nightmare from the get-go. We usually go to a store to purchase appliances, and this was our first time ordering online and having it delivered, which also did not arrive when we were told it would be. We had to drive over an hour away to pick up. Supposedly they had called but never left a voice message, that we had to call back to confirm delivery. We checked and no call was listed on our phone. This will be our last time ordering online.

Motor broke in two years

David B 11/4/2017

We bought this unit two years ago on sale and heard it was made by Whirlpool. We just had it looked at today and the motor needs to be replaced. 320 dollars including labor to fix it, and that's with a 20% off coupon. When it worked it was fine, but definitely one star since it broke so quickly and costs so much to repair. I also don't like that by posting a review I will be getting emails that I will have to opt-out of, but that's another story!

Nice Design

5/15/2017

I'm very happy with this purchase. I find the updated interior design very nice. I'm able to put light weight items (like plastic measure cups) on the top rack due to the slant and they do not end up all over inside the dishwasher, yet everything comes out clean. I'm also finding that putting large items like 24 cup mini muffin pans in the bottom actually can be accommodated and they clean beautifully. I don't believe the old one had enough room to put something like this in it. The silverware holder also holds a lot more and the storage areas that are covered are larger allowing you to put bigger items in them that you might not want to put elsewhere because they would fall through the rack or end up flying around in the dishwasher. I also really like the gray interior color. As we all know in time a white interior kind of discolors....it will be interesting to see how the gray holds up over time. The exterior has a very sleek look and the buttons on the top hidden I find very attractive. I haven't had this long, but so far I'm very happy with the changes that have been made compared to the one I had which was original to the house when it was built 15 years ago. And of course the most important feature it seems to clean everything just fine with no issues.
