I wanted a simple, uncomplicated range and I love this one. I like that the smaller burner is on the right side because it is close to my counter and use that burner a lot. The oven is the right size for my pan and I like that it lights up when open. This range is simple to operate.

We love this range. It heats up fast. Our old electric range was slow to heat and the oven took at least half as much time to cook as menus called for. The old one was new when we bought our present home about 10 years ago. I had to replace the oven heating element once during that time but the last failure was beyond my repair capability and we were finally tired of its inefficiencies.

I purchased this range for a rental unit I have. The tenants love it, especially the self cleaning aspect. They like the layout of the controls, which make using it easier. It's also a beautiful piece.

Oven wire racks aren't ridgid. Oven temperature and the display are 5-10 degrees off. I'm widowed so I use a toaster oven more than the stove's oven. The storage drawer needs a handle.

I am a fan of Consumer Reports and although they rated the Amana slightly below two other ranges, the Amana was the only one that received a perfect score for how well it holds an oven temperature. I enjoy baking cakes and yeast breads and have been busily doing so for the Holidays. It's everything I hoped for. They should have rated it #1.
